Following the first year of the COVID-19 crisis that the world endured in 2020, most countries sought to restore their economies through comprehensive strategies that involved all sectors. In Colombia, ex-president Ivan Duque implemented a tax reform that predominantly impacted the low and middle-classes. The combination of the tax reform and the social and economic inequalities created an ideal scenario for citizens to take to the streets and protest the government. The documentary explores how the crisis was seen from the Colombian diaspora in Barcelona, Spain. In which a recipe took the central stage to organize the social transformation that transcends distance (borders).
